Gallery Of Mothers is the second book in the Brathius Legacy Series by the extremely skilled writer J.S. Latshaw. Having reviewed the first book of the series, I was eagerly waiting for its second part and so felt quite happy at being offered to review the same.  Just like the first book, the second book also has an aptly designed cover page which features a woman facing a group of animals in the backdrop of the setting sun.
The book continues with the now exiled Icelyn Brathius trying to save the last remnants of the human race.  As the secrets, of how Sean’s experiment of producing genetically modified soldiers, doomed the world, are revealed the threat of certain destruction of humanity looms large with the Mountaintop facing a new terrorizing force. Once again, Icelyn proves to be the best hope to save humanity and for that, she needs to travel to a cursed and legendary tower located in the middle of a deadly desert. As Icelyn prepares to leave behind everything she holds dear, she is unaware of the secrets she will be confronting and the nightmares she would have to endure before her journey ends.
J.S. Latshaw has once again proven that his writing skills are beyond reproach and that he is capable of creating a tangible and credible tale. If anything, his second book is even more impressive than his first book of the series. Despite its length, the book keeps the readers completely engaged until the very end while maintaining its thrill and suspense through the various twists and turns. This multi-genre novel combines all the elements of fantasy, horror, and dystopia to create an amazing psychological thriller. This superbly crafted dark fiction is definitely a much-recommended book for readers who love tales of fantasy and adventure. I wish Latshaw all the best with its success and hope the next book comes out soon.
