3-starsThe all new reboot of the original Terminator movie has been directed by Pete Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen. This latest installment in the series of Terminator flicks stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Byung-Hun Lee, Matt Smith, and JK Simmons in the main roles. The movie, produced by David Ellison and Dana Goldberg and with the screenplay written by Patrick Lussier and Laeta Kalogridis was released on 3rd Jul 2015.

Terminator Genysis tells follows the basic storyline of The Terminator albeit with some major twists in the plot and the backdrop of an entirely different timeline. Kyle Reese  played by Jai Courtney, travels back during the time of 1984 to protect Sarah Connor played by Emilia Clarke, mom of his friends and mentor John Connor  played by Jason Clarke. However, as he lands in the past, he learns that it is quite different from the one described to him by John. For starters, rather than being a helpless dame, Sarah is a well trained fighter who commands her own Terminator  played by Arnold Schwarzenegger sent back quite earlier to protect her and She is also well aware of the impending Judgement day set to happen in 2017 and is focused on preventing it at all costs. However, she has to battle the younger version of her Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), while also balancing her complex relationship with Kyle besides preventing the machines from becoming dominant.

Although Terminator Genisys offers a fresh prospective of the original movie, it does not really prove much impressive. The actors have given a commendable performance and it is especially good to see a double role of Arnold Schwarzenegger, in one of which he gets to play his age for the first time.

Overall the movie is a must watch terminator fans and IndiaCafe24 gives it a rating of 3 stars.
