The Kailasa Couch Conversations
The Kailasa Couch Conversations
Swagat ha to the Kailasa Living Room. We can see Lord Shiva busy sipping herbal tea, while Ganesha is seen browsing his cosmic recipe app. On the other hand, for Kartikeya, we can see him pacing with a Bluetooth headset. It seems the Techno world made its presence felt in Kailasa…
Kartikeya (to headset):
“Yes, the war strategy looks fine — but who added mango shake to the weapons list? Who utter worst or unique idea was it?”
Shiva (laughing):
“Beta, modern problems need the intervention of modern refreshments. Refreshments and that too of great quality can stop half the war scenario in the world and embrace peace.”
Ganesha:
“Honestly, Baba (Shiva) mango shake could be a great distraction method. Who would fight when mangoes are involved? Its sweetness is enough to turn brotherhood more tempting than being enemies.”
Shiva:
“Exactly! Even Ravana, my greatest devotee, would have paused to sip this drink. Who knows, if he had done that, perhaps Ramayana would have never happened.”
Kartikeya (rolls eyes):
“You two are impossible. I’m talking war strategy here, and you both are planning for a divine picnic.”
Ganesha (smiling):
“Well, between my love for food and your love for war, there should be someone to bring balance. Like Baba here — sitting in the middle, meditating on how to balance, two very different sons.”
Shiva:
“Balance is an overrated term, my child. What’s underrated is silence. See I’m not getting it today for my meditation.”
Kartikeya:
“Baba, you gave me a peacock that calls at sunrise and him a mouse that moves in and around the kitchen. Now tell me who’s the one disturbing your peace the most? Is that me, and Ganesha or our Bahanas (Vehicle)?”
Ganesha:
“Well Bhai, your question is very appropriate. Baba tell us who is disturbing the most.”
Shiva (sipping tea):
“My dear boys… let me share a practical truth: whether flying a peacock or managing mouse logistics, life’s essence lies in doing your dharma without drama.”
Kartikeya:
“I fight with the demons to protect Kailasha.”
Ganesha:
“I remove the obstacles in life.”
Shiva:
“I try to meditate.”
Kartikeya:
“…And then Mom asks you to do household chores.”
Ganesha:
“…Which you delegate to Nandi.”
Shiva (shrugs):
“Delegation is divine leadership.”
Kartikeya (murmuring):
“If I delegated during the war, then for sure would become the dinner for the asuras.”
Ganesha (smirking):
“Relax, Bhaiya. If at all that happens, your Chota Bhai is there to remove all obstacles in your life.”
Shiva: (with a smile)
” When my two sons Kartikeye and Ganesha are together… I know the world is protected from all bad and negative vibes and Kailash is also in safe hands.”
In the divine family also there is a need for the perfect blend of humor, practicality, and parental patience. Even gods need to juggle work, family, and unsolicited advice.

It felt like I was eavesdropping on Shiva sipping herbal tea, Ganesha scouring recipes on his cosmic app, and Kartikeya on a headset—modern and myth collide 😂 The mango-shake-as-weapon idea had me literally LOL’ing—because who wouldn’t pause for a mango shake mid-war? And Shiva’s line about “delegation is divine leadership” hit home—I’m definitely stealing that for my to-do list excuses. I love how the post weaves humor, family dynamics, and a sprinkle of philosophy into a format that’s quirky yet thoughtful. It made me see the gods as not-so-distant relatives, juggling chores, roles, and sibling antics. It’s such a fresh, creative take—my inner child and philosophy nerd both cheered. The balance between wit (“modern problems need modern refreshments”) and depth (dharma without drama) is spot-on. Honestly, I found myself smiling throughout and even reflecting on my own “household delegation” tactics. It’s a delightful, witty read that’s perfect for a quick pick-me-up—divine tea and spiritual life advice included!
Thank you so much
This family meeting of Shiva and his two sons Ganesha and Kartikeya was amusing. It was funny how Ganesha kept bringing in mangoes as the solution to avert any war and Kartikeya kept getting sidelined till Shiva had the final say and rested the matters at hand.
This was so much fun to read! Loved how the divine family was portrayed with modern quirks and everyday banter. Made me smile and think, even gods deal with the same family chaos we do!
What a delightful conversation between a father and his sons! I just imagined it in a modern context, like a son loves gaming and another food, and the dad is the balancing factor between their feud.
Such a sweet and delightful read. Absolutely loved how the divine conversation took shape between father and sons with a modern twist.
I loved this Shiva Parvati series; every week I eagerly waited to read their family stories, know more about Shiva, Karthik, and Ganesh, and see how beautifully you punched a health-conscious pinch in the story. Too good.
Absolutely loved the tongue-in-cheek humour. Brilliant writing about the Gods in modern times. Who can resist mango? And there is techo too..amazing play of words.
Loved this! The divine family banter felt like catching up with your own household. It’s warm, witty and surprisingly relatable, even gods appreciate a good tea break.
I wish my family was this easy to converse with! Mangoes for the young one, war for the older one, meditation for the father…That’s one cool way to talk things out. 😀
Loved how you blended mythology with everyday family banter. The mango shake twist made me smile…. who knew divine strategy could be so sweet. Looking forward to more from this series.
This felt like watching my own family arguing over trivial things—except with gods, peacocks, and cosmic apps! Ganesha’s foodie diplomacy vs. Kartikeya’s battlefield strategy ; so fun to read. Shiva’s casual “silence” comment and his reflection on dharma without drama hit me hard ; it’s something I need to remember daily.
I loved reading this cute tale of yours. I smiled, laughed and felt mesmerized.
I’m always blown by your blogs. Creativity 100/100 humor 110/100 and sweet message at the end 120/100. What a beautiful way you present these ideas loveeee it!

I am loving this series conversations with Gods! You always come up with unique theme
This was a hilarious read! Kudos to your awesome imagination! You made the Gods sound like us mortals! Delightful!
Woww I’m living your divine series with a twist. Keep them coming. Loved the mango shake weapon part
Ganesha and Shivji have a point. Who can resist mangoes? This was a fun conversation and something that could very well happen. Lol.
Hats off to your creativity. I am really enjoying reading these conversation posts. Mangoes can stop wars, who knew.
Oh, this was hilarious, just like your previous post. I love how effortlessly you are humanizing Gods! 🙂
I really enjoyed the playful yet profound tone of this post. It’s refreshing to see divine figures portrayed with such humor and relatable family dynamics, reminding us that even gods balance chaos, duty, and love—just like we do in everyday life.
It was amusing to read Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya bantering like normal siblings. Only you could have thought up this concept. As always, enjoyed your post Samata. Always something new to read on your blog.
Love the read!! It was too cute and amazed just as how you could make it more humorous
