Big Belly Brains vs. Peacock Poses: A Divine Laugh Riot

Big Belly Brains vs. Peacock Poses: A Divine Laugh Riot

One sunny morning on Mount Kailash, Ganesha was sitting comfortably, happily clearing off a mountain of modaks. Just then, Kartikeya dived in on his flashy peacock. The way the peacock feathers were shimmering looked like a Bollywood hero’s entry scene.

Kartikeya

“Again, with the modaks, big belly Gannu Bhai?” Kartikeya teased, tickling with a feather. “Oh! Gannu Bhai, do you know I just finished defeating three asuras before having breakfast? And here you are… all busy in reducing the Modak Mountain heights!”

Ganesha

Ganesha patted his belly proudly. “Bhai Kartikey, these modaks are just like your asuras. And trust me, they’re much tastier than yours.”

Kartikeya

Kartikeya rolled his eyes and bent his muscles. “Look at these arms! Even Ravana would get jealous. Mother says I look like a movie star.  And I am planning to visit Hollywood this monsoon and meet some Directors for their upcoming action movies. They are keen to cast me.”

Ganesha

“Movie star? Hollywood Films!!!!!!!!” Ganesha burst out laughing. “Bhai, not a star but more like a gym trainer who forgot leg day! My fans prefer brains and charm, not just biceps. Are you as charming as I?….. Kartikye Bhai? :; “

Kartikeya

“Charm? You mean that elephant head charm?” Kartikeya teased, blinking his eyes.

Ganesha

Ganesha smiled. “At least my head is big enough to hold real wisdom, not just hot air to fly.”

Kartikeya gasped, secretly feeling a tiny pinch of jealousy. He looked at Ganesha’s modaks for some time.

Ganesha

“Don’t stare so hard, on my modaks Bhai.  It seems like you’ll drill a hole in them!” Ganesha said, sliding a modak toward him.

Kartikeya

Kartikeya grabbed it quickly. “Fine! Just one. Only to prove I can control my cravings.” He took a bite and instantly his eyes twinkled. “Oh wow… Mother was right. These are really so divine. Absolute Manmohan Modak”

Ganesha

Ganesha smiled. “Ah, the great warrior finally surrenders… to sweetness!”

Kartikeya

Kartikeya stuck out his tongue. “Wait till I tell Mother you’re spoiling me.”

Ganesha

Ganesha threw an arm around him. “Go ahead. Ma will give me extra modaks for being so loving and caring towards you.”

The brothers burst into laughter, hugging each other tightly — one secretly jealous of the sweets, the other secretly admiring the muscles. Above them, Parvati smiled, shaking her head at her perfectly imperfect sons.
