To say that the year 2020 has been extremely tumultuous for most people around the globe, would be an understatement. However, like even the most darkest cloud, it also had its moments of silver lining, which the book titled Unlocking The Lockdown Stories tries to highlight. Even as the entire human race is struggling to beat the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, the author of the book Juhi Jaisinghani has tried to bring to fore moments of love, acceptance, self-confidence, and reunions in the form of 10 short stories.
The book provides a sense of positivity and hope amidst the chaos, misery, and uncertainty that has surrounded people all year round. Every story featured in the book, despite being fictional, is based on the experience of common people and reinforces the fact that even the worst of times have something good to offer.  They cover different topics and are about people from different walks of life, besides which each of them ends on an encouraging note, which is the need of the hour.
The best thing that I liked about the book is that all stories are relatable without any drama or hotch-potch. The book has simple and easy-to-understand language which makes for a wonderful reading experience. I especially liked, Fortunately, Unfortunate, Revamping Together, and Lost And Found. I wish Juhi all the best for the success of this book which restored my hope and enhances my confidence in beating the pandemic successfully.
