Bollywood hottie Bipasha Basu finally tied the knot with boyfriend Karan Singh Grover today. The leading lady of several successful Hindi movies had announced her wedding plans towards the end of last year. Known for performing bold scenes on screen, which many of her contemporary actresses shied away from, Bipasha has earned a unique place in the Indian film industry. So, it is only natural that her fans are much elated and overjoyed to learn that their favorite actress is finally settling down.
The wedding event was held in the conventional Bengali style and the pre-wedding rituals began on 28th April with the traditional puja. The puja is done to invoke the ancestors and seek their blessings for the couple. It is performed by the father of the bride, in this case Hirak Basu, who was naturally happy about the whole affair. Bipasha looked stunning in a pink saree with a traditional Bengali mukut adorning her head, while Karan chose to stick to a pure white kurta pajama. The lovebirds were surrounded by family and friends as the two took the first steps in the direction of sharing their lives.

The puja was followed by the combined mehandi and sangeet ceremony on the 29th April, which was attended among others by Shilpa and Raj Kundra, Shamita Shetty and Sophie Choudhary. Bipasha chose a floral overlay lehenga with metallic choli matched by a floral head band and accessories. She looked like a gorgeous Greek princess in the attire and it became difficult for anyone to take their eyes off her. The would-be-groom continued to stick to white kurta matched with a white chudidar and the overall look of the couple together was simply amazing. One could easily access Bipasha’s happiness as she danced to the various filmy songs with Karan as well as her friends and siblings.

With the pre-wedding ceremonies already done with, the D-day has finally come and the marriage ritual of the queen of millions of heart is still underway as we write this post. The highlight of the wedding till now has been that Karan chose to arrive at the venue in a completely unconventional manner. He shunned the traditional ghodi and instead opted for a segway to make his grand entry donning a white self embroidered sherwani. Bipasha on the other hand stuck to the traditional red attire worn by Indian brides and looked completely cute and stunning. She just could not stop smiling and we along with everyone else that she continues to do so till eternity.

The wedding which was mostly a private affair, was however attended by a few selected friends from the industry. While this is the first marriage of the actress, who at 37 can still give many younger actress a run for money. Karan tied the knot for the third time. We along with all the fans of the couple hope that they find everlasting love and true happiness with each other and wish them a long and blissful married life.
